End User License Agreement (EULA) for Not Guilty®

1. License Grant

Not Guilty® ("Licensor") grants you ("Licensee") a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Not Guilty® mobile applications ("Software") on your personal mobile device, subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

Scope: This EULA applies to both Not Guilty® mobile applications:

• NG Lawyer - For legal professionals (lawyers, barristers, legal consultants)
• Not Guilty® - For individuals seeking legal services

2. Software Description

The Software is a legal services platform that:

2.1 For Legal Professionals (NG Lawyer App):

• Connects legal professionals with potential clients
• Manages professional profiles and qualifications
• Processes client service requests and matching
• Provides professional service scheduling tools
• Offers case management and communication features

2.2 For General Public (Not Guilty App):

• Connects individuals with qualified legal professionals
• Facilitates legal service requests and case submission
• Provides case information management tools
• Offers legal consultation booking services
• Manages legal document storage and organisation

2.3 For Both App Types:

• Provides dynamic questionnaire-based case assessment
• Manages service request processing and validation
• Ensures platform security and data protection
• Facilitates communication between users

3. System Requirements

To use the Software, your device must meet the following requirements:

• Operating System: iOS 12.0 or later, or Android 6.0 (API level 23) or later
• Storage: Minimum 100MB available space
• Internet: Active internet connection required
• Permissions: Camera, microphone, storage, location, internet, and contacts access

4. Installation and Updates

4.1 Installation

You may install the Software on devices that you own or control, in accordance with the applicable app store terms.

4.2 Updates

The Software may automatically download and install updates. By using the Software, you agree to receive these updates.

5. Required Permissions

The Software requires the following permissions to function properly:

5.1 Camera Permission

• Purpose: Document scanning and photo capture for legal case documentation
• Usage: Only when you actively use camera features
• Data Handling: Images are processed for document analysis and not stored permanently
• App-Specific Usage:
• Lawyer App: Document scanning for case management and client communication
• Public App: Document upload for legal case submission and evidence

5.2 Microphone Permission

• Purpose: Voice recording for legal case notes and communication
• Usage: Only when you actively use voice recording features
• Data Handling: Audio recordings are processed for transcription and case management
• App-Specific Usage:
• Lawyer App: Voice notes for case management and client communication
• Public App: Voice recording for case details and consultation preparation

5.3 Storage Permission

• Purpose: Saving legal documents, case files, and app data
• Usage: Local storage on your device for offline access
• Data Handling: Files are stored locally and can be managed through app settings
• App-Specific Usage:
• Lawyer App: Case files, client documents, and professional materials
• Public App: Legal documents, case information, and consultation records

5.4 Location Permission

• Purpose: Important: We collect location information specifically for determining "Lawyer and Barristers Serviceable location" - this is NOT your current location, but rather the geographic areas where legal services are available and where legal professionals can provide services.
• Usage: Service area matching and legal professional availability
• Data Handling: Location data is used for service matching and not for tracking your movements
• App-Specific Usage:
• Lawyer App: Defining and managing your service areas and availability
• Public App: Finding legal professionals available in your area

5.5 Internet Permission

• Purpose: Connecting to our servers for service functionality
• Usage: Required for all online features and data synchronization
• Data Handling: Network communication for app functionality
• App-Specific Usage:
• Lawyer App: Client matching, case updates, and professional communication
• Public App: Professional matching, case submission, and consultation booking

5.6 Contacts Permission

• Purpose: Importing contact information for case management
• Usage: Only when you choose to import contacts
• Data Handling: Contact data is used locally for case management
• App-Specific Usage:
• Lawyer App: Client contact management and case communication
• Public App: Emergency contacts and case-related communication

6. Biometric Data Usage

Important Clarification: The Software uses biometric data (such as fingerprint or facial recognition) ONLY for system validation purposes (e.g., device unlock, app authentication). We do NOT collect, store, or process your actual biometric data. The biometric validation is handled entirely by your device's operating system.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Software only for lawful purposes and in accordance with this Agreement. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
• Remove or alter copyright notices
• Use the Software for illegal or unauthorized purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Misrepresent professional qualifications or credentials
• Use the platform for fraudulent or deceptive purposes

8. Intellectual Property Rights

The Software and all related content are owned by Licensor and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This Agreement does not grant you ownership of the Software.

Registered Trademark Rights:

• Not Guilty® is a registered trademark of Not Guilty App Ltd
• All trademark rights are reserved and protected under UK and international trademark law
• Users are prohibited from using our registered trademarks without explicit written permission
• Our registered trademark status provides enhanced legal protection for our brand and software

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Software is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. The Software collects and processes data as described in our Privacy Policy.

App-Specific Data Handling:

• Lawyer App: Professional credentials, service areas, availability, and client interaction data
• Public App: Personal case information, legal matter details, and consultation preferences

10. Third-Party Services

The Software integrates with various third-party services including:

• Custom authentication system for secure user management
• Firebase for analytics and crash reporting
• Google Places API for location services
• AWS infrastructure for data storage and processing

These services have their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Technical Support

We provide technical support for the Software during normal business hours. Support is limited to:

• Installation and setup assistance
• Basic troubleshooting
• Feature explanations
• Bug reporting and resolution

App-Specific Support:

• Lawyer App: Professional account setup, service area configuration, client matching assistance
• Public App: Case submission help, professional selection guidance, consultation booking support

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. LICENSOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

14. Termination

14.1 License Termination

This license terminates automatically if you fail to comply with its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and delete it from your device.

14.2 Account Deletion and Termination

Important: You can delete your account and terminate your use of our services through multiple methods.

Method 1: In-App Account Deletion (Immediate)

Access Settings: Go to your profile settings within the app

Delete Option: Select "Delete Account" or "Delete Data" option

Confirmation: Confirm your deletion request with a final confirmation dialog

Immediate Effect: Your account will be permanently deleted immediately

Method 2: External Account Deletion Request (Team Processed)

Website Request: Visit https://notguiltyapp.co.uk/#/delete-account

Submit Request: Fill out the account deletion request form

Team Review: Our team will review and process your request

Verification: You will be contacted for identity verification and confirmation

Processing Time: Account deletion processed within 30 days of verification

What Happens When You Delete Your Account:

• Account Removal: Your account is permanently removed from our platform
• Data Erasure: All your personal data, case information, and uploaded documents are permanently deleted
• Service Access: You will immediately lose access to all our services
• Professional Connections: Any ongoing legal service matches or consultations will be terminated
• Documentation: All case files, legal documents, and communication history will be permanently deleted

Data Retention After Deletion:

• User Data: All personal and case-related data is permanently deleted
• Legal Obligations: Some data may be retained if required by law or ongoing legal proceedings
• Professional Records: Legal professional verification records may be retained for regulatory compliance
• Security Audits: Minimal audit information may be retained for security and compliance purposes

Recovery and Consequences:

• Permanent Action: Account deletion is irreversible and cannot be undone
• Data Loss: All previous data, case information, and legal service history will be permanently lost
• New Account: You can create a new account if you wish to use our services again
• Service Impact: You will need to re-establish all professional connections and case information

Alternative Termination Methods:

• Website Request: Use https://notguiltyapp.co.uk/#/delete-account for external deletion requests
• Email Request: Contact us at legal@notguiltyapp.co.uk for assistance
• Response Time: In-app deletion is immediate; external requests processed within 30 days
• Verification: External requests require identity verification for security purposes

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your account or license, your right to use our services ceases immediately.

Immediate Effects:

• Service Access: All platform access is immediately suspended
• Data Access: You can no longer access your account or data
• Professional Connections: All ongoing legal service relationships are terminated
• Documentation: Access to case files and legal documents is revoked

Post-Termination:

• Data Retention: Data retention follows our privacy policy and legal obligations
• Professional Records: Legal professional verification records may be retained for compliance
• Audit Trails: Security and compliance audit information may be retained
• Legal Requirements: Some data may be retained if required by law or ongoing proceedings

15. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
